PINWHEELS FAMILY FUN DAY
FALL 2024 | 9AM – 12PM
Hosted at Cole Park Amphitheater, the Pinwheel event is designed to bring education and awareness to child abuse in our community. This will be our 12th annual event! The CACCB displays one pinwheel for every child forensically interviewed for alleged abuse or neglect. In 2023, the CACCB forensically interviewed 1,182 children. In past years, our efforts have been joined by other organizations dedicated to improving the life and well-being of children: Superior HealthPlan; Success by 6; A World For Children; CASA of the Coastal Bend, The Purple Door; CCPD Crime Victim Assistance; Education Service Center, region 2; NCCAA Birth-to-Five Head Start and more! We also invite several youth performance groups for families to enjoy. This is a FREE community event!
DAY OF GIVING
NOVEMBER TBA 2024 | 12AM – 11:59PM
The Coastal Bend Day of Giving is a 24-hour online opportunity to raise funds for selected non-profits throughout the Coastal Bend. This year, the Coastal Bend Community Foundation has selected 50 non-profits to participate in this community give together. In 2023, the Children’s Advocacy Center raised nearly $74,000. This event is very unique because every dollar you donate is matched and doubled!
