Individuals involved with the Child Abuse Council of South Texas established the Nueces County Children’s Advocacy Center in 1994. They saw a need for a central, non-biased, child friendly organization to help facilitate child abuse investigations after a series of poorly handled child abuse cases. When the Texas Legislature enacted legislation to allow the development of Children’s Advocacy Centers by communities, these individuals began the formation of ours.

Who We Serve

Although Nueces County is our official service area, the center provides the same services to all the counties in the Coastal Bend area as a courtesy. This means that we do not receive funding for any services provided outside of Nueces County. Our CAC also provides services to the following counties:
